Our Mission
We are dedicated to a single purpose: To ensure that Veterans, Americans, and their families have access to essential medical equipment. Our mission is to collect and distribute wheelchairs, walkers, medical beds, electric scooters, and other necessary equipment to those who lack financial resources or insurance coverage. Through the generosity of our supporters, we provide these critical items to individuals in need, helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.
We are an all-volunteer organization committed to serving the medical needs of our communities, advocating for America’s heroes, and educating the public about the challenges faced by veterans and fellow Americans. Together, we can make a difference for those who have served and those in need.
Thank You All!

Our Story
Veterans Donor Connect was founded with a heartfelt mission — to provide vital medical equipment to veterans, their families, and other Americans in need. Inspired by a deep commitment to those who have served our country, our organization works tirelessly to connect generous donors with individuals facing financial hardships or insurance limitations.
Our journey began with an unsettling realization: an alarming amount of perfectly functional medical equipment — wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and electric scooters — was being discarded. Even institutions dedicated to helping others, including other nonprofits and the VA itself, were unknowingly contributing to this waste. Vital equipment that could transform lives was often tossed away, left to fill dumpsters instead of serving those in need. In our early days, our volunteers — driven by compassion and determination — would climb into those very dumpsters, salvaging medical equipment that was still usable. They would clean it, repair it, and restore it to working condition so it could be donated to individuals who desperately needed it. What began as a grassroots effort has since grown into a powerful network of generosity and care.
Today, our work has evolved. Veterans and their families now come to us directly, donating equipment so we can ensure it finds new life in the hands of those who need it most. Our volunteers continue to clean, repair, and prepare this equipment for donation — a labor of love that allows us to serve those struggling to access critical resources. Led by our director, Virgil H. Hentz, Veterans Donor Connect continues to expand its reach, ensuring no veteran or individual is left without the support they deserve. Our story is one of compassion, resourcefulness, and unwavering dedication — a testament to the power of community and the belief that no one should go without the tools they need to live with dignity and independence.
